There are many great places in the world that you can go, but one of the best places would have to be to Sudak in Crimea. This is a great place that is very popular today, and it’s known for its great resorts. Many people from around the world travel to this area every year to see many different things.

In fact, one of its most seen attractions would have to be the Genoese Fortress. There are many places that are worth seeing on the Black sea, however, this is one of the nicest by far. If you are going to take a vacation in Crimea, you might as well stay in the city of Sudak.

Whenever you come to Sudak you can rest assure that you and your family are going to have a lot to see and do there. First of all, we should point out that this area has some of the best resorts in the world that are located on the Black Sea. You have never seen the Black sea like this, and many people are blown away when they come to this area. Not only are the resorts around this area nice, but so is the food.

If you have never had food from that area of the world, then you do not know what you are missing. It is not like any food you have ever had in your life and beats the crap out of any food over here in America. The people in this area also add to the greatest of this spot. They are all very friendly, and they make you feel welcome. This is by far one of my favorite places to travel to in the whole world.

Bakhchisaray – is home to the “fountain of tears”

Exotic and intriguing Bakhchisaray is the former capital city of the Crimean Khanate, situated in central Crimea. Every monument and structure in the city reminds the beholder of the Crimean Khanate’s influence on the city. The Crimean palace is one the major land marks of the city that breathes the impression the Khanate has created on the city. The medieval ages of the Crimean Tartars and their lives and traditions are depicted in all architectural specimens of Exotic and intriguing Bakhchisaray. The city is home to the “fountain of tears” immortalized by Alexander Pushkin in his poem, ‘the fountain of Bakhchisaray’.

The erstwhile capital city of the Crimean Khanate, the town, Bakhchisaray, is located in central Crimea. Hansaray, the only existing palace of the Crimean Khans is an important tourist destination for the ones visiting Bakhchisaray. The town is located in the Curuk Suv River’s narrow valley. The ancient settlements that were extant before Bakhchisaray have been incorporated into the urban landscape of the modern Bakhchisaray. These settlements have become integrated into the urban area of the city and are an intermingling of the ancient and modern.

Bakhchisaray became the capital of the Crimean Khanate around the 1530’s. It was the centre of cultural and political life of the Crimean Tatars. The Russian Empire ended the Crimean Khanate’s rule during the year 1783. Bakhchisaray became an ordinary town, devoid of administrative significance, but existed as a cultural center of the Crimean Tartars till 1944.

The name Bakhchisaray is a Persian name that stands for ‘the Garden Palace’. The town is acclaimed for its relation with renowned poet, Alexander Pushkin’s poem ‘The Fountain of Bakhchisaray’. This romantic association with literature has made the city popular among the people of the world. Poet, Adam Mickiewicz has devoted many fine poems of his in the Crimean Sonnets to various significant landmarks of the city. Nikolai Stepanovich, a Soviet astronomer has hailed a minor planet with the city’s name – 3242 Bakhchisaray.

Simferopol International Airport

If you are looking for a great place to travel to in the world, you should head on down to Crimea. This is an area that is located right on the Black Sea. If you are going to be coming down to this area, there is a good chance that you are going to need to go to Simferpool. This is a little spot in Crimea that is best known for being the home of the Simferopol State International Airport. This area is also home to a great railway system, but for international travels you are going to me more into the International Airport. This is a great airport, and you should come to check it out yourself.

Alushta – Ideal Recreation Resort

Alushta is a prominent resort town in Crimea, Ukraine, which had its foundation founded in the 6th century CE by Emperor Justinian. The significant town is situated on the Black Sea, that is on the road from Gurzuf to Sudak, if you ever vist you will find it, in addition to on the Crimean Trolleybus line. The entire area is famous for the presence of the internationally famed rocky terrain.

There are also te presence of vestiges of a Byzantine defensive tower and along with it a Genoese fortress dating to the 15th century A.D. In those days the town was known as Aluston, especially in the Byzantine Empire, and Lusta during the Genoese rule.

It is to be noted that the famous poet Adam Mickiewicz dedicated two of his Crimean Sonnets to Alushta. The town is itself a glorious one, with its sister city, Santa Cruz, California.

Excursions in Crimea

Crimea, in the history of the world deserves special mention, having a rich history, the remains of which you can see in the present day. Evpatoriya – Haven of Health Resorts

Evpatoriya is an important Ukrainian Black Sea port. It is also a famous rail hub and a town filled with health resorts. Evpatoriya is popular for its medical mud and springs of thermal mineral water. The city is situated on the place, where the ancient and illustrious Greek settlement of Kerkinitida. The city was named Kezlev by Crimean Tatars, Gozleve by Ottomans, Kozlov by Russians and in 1784, it was named Eupatoria officially. The name “Eupatoria” is also spelt as Evpatoriya and Yevpatoriya. The city is named after the King of Pontus, Mithradates Eupator. The city is a famous for its balneological resorts.

A city in Crimea, Ukraine, Evpatoriya or Eupatoria or Yevpatoria is a Black Sea port. The city is famous for its health resorts. The industries of the city comprise of fishing, food processing, weaving, limestone quarrying, wine making, furniture, machinery and manufacture of building materials. It is situated in the place, where the ancient Greek Colony of Kerkinitida that was established in the sixth century.

Kerkinitis was established by Greek colonists around five hundred B.C. it was part of the territory of Mithradates. The area was captured by Mithradates VI, the Pontian King in the first century B.C. The city’s name is derived from the name of the king, Mithradates Eupator. The city witnessed Khazar settlement around seventh to tenth centuryAD. The city was also occupied by the Kipchaks, the Mongols and the Crimean Khanate. The city was hailed as Kezlev by the Crimean Tatars and Gozleve by Ottomans. Russians named the city, Kozlov.

In the thirteenth century, Evpatoriya the reign came under the Turko-Tatars. They became a part of the Ottoman Empire in for a short span of time from 1478 to 1485. Evpatoriya was annexed by Russian empire, in the year of 1783. The British, French and Turkish troops occupied Evpatoriya during the Crimean War that took place in 1854.
